Job Description

Develop, test, validate and update MATLAB / Python applications

Design of test ultrasound transmit/receive software applications

Manage sub-contractors in Israel and abroad

Job Requirements
-
B.Sc. or higher in Electrical/ Biomedical/ SW Engineering
-
2-5 years’ experience in a medical device field
-
Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C++
-
Experience in writing applications for Verasonics Vantage systems - advantage
-
Experience in performing electronic /acoustic measurements
-
Experience in medical device lifecycle: development, manufacturing - advantage
-
Proficient in English (speaking, reading and writing)
-
High level of hands-on technical capability

Software Engineer
Job Description/Key Responsibilities
Embedded Systems & FPGA Communication
-
Design, implement, and maintain low-level embedded software/firmware (C/C++) for microcontrollers and embedded processors interfacing with custom FPGA hardware.

Implement and optimize robust communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe, Ethernet, USB) for high-speed data transfer between FPGA boards, RF amplifier drivers, ultrasound hardware, and host controllers.

Collaborate with hardware design teams during board bring-up, signal path debugging, and acoustic transducer control.
Workstation & System Application Development
-
Develop and maintain desktop workstation applications that manage real-time ultrasound system parameters, acoustic execution loops, and user workflows.

Integrate third-party software, libraries, and SDKs as SOUP / COTS components.
-
Design software interfaces and drivers to collect telemetry, temperature data, and high-voltage execution metrics.
Quality & Regulatory Compliance (DHF Support)
-
Author Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), Software Architecture Designs (SAD), and Verification/Validation Plans (SVP) in accordance with ISO 13485 and IEC 62304.

Perform software risk management and hazard analyses (ISO 14971) to define safety-critical code boundaries and fault-handling mechanisms.

Maintain complete software traceability, build environments, and automated verification suites for FDA/regulatory submissions.
Job Requirements/Technical Skills
-
2–5+ years of hands-on experience in embedded software development, real-time control, or medical device software development.

Programming Languages: Advanced proficiency in C and C++ (embedded
Windows or Linux environments) and C# / .NET or Python for workstation/scripting applications.
Experience

Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
